The UBC School of Law is recognized as one of the leading law schools in Canada, and has a worldwide reputation for innovative research, inspiring professors, and outstanding graduates. In recognition of a transformational gift from law alumnus Peter A. Allard, the university renamed the law school the Peter A. Allard School of Law.
Massif Creative was tasked with producing a video which was used to announce the new name as well as being featured in a digital marketing campaign. Utilizing the talents of poet Jeremy Loveday, the motion graphic piece builds on the reputation for the Peter A. Allard School of Law’s contributions in areas ranging from human rights to environmental sustainability to business law. The final piece combines a strong spoken word poem, kinetic typography, and features award winning photographs from the Allard Prize for International Integrity competition.
The video was part of a larger campaign and was awarded Grand Gold & Gold in Marketing & Branding at the 2018 CASE District VIII Communications Awards.
