Vancouver International Jazz Festival 2025

Celebrating 40 years of music, community, and support for artists.

In 2025, Coastal Jazz celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival with more than 160 performances across Downtown Vancouver, Granville Island and North Vancouver, plus free shows, talks, workshops and late‑night DJ sets.

To highlight four decades of music, Massif Creative designed a funky, retro-inspired graphic system using bold typography, rich colours and playful patterns to evoke a nostalgic look back at the performances and the supporters who helped shape the festival’s legacy.

The festival branding was implemented across transit shelter ads, a folding pocket guide, print and digital ads, and eye-catching banners on the Burrard Street Bridge. It also featured prominently on festival signage, such as large format triptychs across Granville Island and downtown, as well as the Ocean Artworks event gate. A range of custom merch, from shirts and totes to stickers, offered festival-goers a way to celebrate this year’s milestone.
